Director Lucas Kazan's Backstage is about a director's obsession with one of his film stars. If it's autobiographical, Kazan couldn't have a better obsession than Sasha Byazrov, and if it's not, his stand-in, Giorgio Salieri, couldn't have a better obsession than Sasha Byazrov. Chock full of Kazan's usual thoughtful scenes, beautiful production design and the hottest models the world can produce, Backstage is a wonder.
